Calling all Feltmakers
10th Southern Hemisphere Feltmakers Convergence
27th September – 2nd October 2009
The 10th Biennial Feltmakers Convergence is to be held in Masterton
in the North Island of New Zealand next year.
The Convergence is for Feltmakers of all levels, beginner, intermediate, advanced
and professional.
The event offers a wonderful opportunity to meet, learn and share knowledge with
like-minded people from all over NZ and Australia and maybe other parts of the
world.
The programme will include demonstrations, talks and exhibitions of all aspects of
our craft.
There will be hands on opportunities to felt and traders will be there to supply us
with wool and inspire us with exciting products.
Well-known US based felter Lesley Hansard will be joining us as a key participant.
Her business Hansard Welsh Design www.hansardwelshdesign.com makes unusual
hats and accessories.
The dates have been chosen to coincide with the world famous World Of Wearable Art
in Wellington (WOW) www.worldofwearableart.com
We are offering to purchase tickets and organise a bus to the show.

IS REQUIRED BY 20TH FEBRUARY 2009
We know this is early but it is necessary in order to purchase WOW tickets,
which go on sale in February and sell out with in a few weeks.

Some small Print
Registrations are arriving already and we are feeling confident that we will reach the
required numbers essential to cover the costs and make this event viable. However,
we do need to advise everyone who sends off their registration forms not to make
non-refundable travel bookings before the end of February in case the numbers are not
met and we are forced to cancel. Should this happen full refunds will be given.
